Welcome to Kazim Shrine Temple in Roanoke, Va. Kazim is one of over 190 Shrine centers that make up Shriners International. The principal purpose of the Shrine is to provide world class treatment and followup care to children from birth to age 18 that suffer from neuromuscular and bone disorders, spinal cord injuries, burn injuries, and cleft lip and palate issues. This care is provided, regardless of the patient or families ability to pay, in our 22 state-of-the-art hospitals located throughout North America, Canada, and Mexico. If you know a child you think could benefit from our services, please click on the "Shriners Hospitals" link at the top of this page.

All Shriners are Masons. Masonry is the world’s oldest recorded fraternity. Masonry regards no man for his worldly title or wealth but, the common belief in one Supreme Being and the ability to come together as Brothers and equals.

Shriners are people who love to have fun. We have all seen Shriners in parades driving little cars or dressed as clowns. Shriners also have many family functions such as spaghetti dinners, dances, golf tournaments, sea cruises, and annual trips to the beach. Family is a very important part of any Shriner's life and functions are designed so that the family is always welcome and included. Organizations such as Ladies of the Oriental Shrine, Daughters of the Nile, and Shrine Guilds of America are incorporated to include wives, daughters, and sons in the aid of the Shrine Hospitals.

If you are already a Master Mason, we hope that you will consider membership in the Shrine. If you are not currently a Shriner and want to find out more about the organization, please follow the e-mail links to the right. We also hope you consider donating to the Shriner's Hospitals for Children and support our annual Kazim Shrine Circus in early February.
